Leading up to...CHRISTMAS!!!

Some fun we've had over the years in the build up to Christmas!!
You might like to try a few too...

-Wait for dark and then pile the kids in the car for a drive to see the Christmas lights

-Choose a Christmas tree or set up yours together; playing Christmas music as you decorate

-Each year I’ve put a new pair of summer Pjs under the kids pillows on Christmas Eve.

-Dress up a big soft toy for the season!

-Allow the kids to decorate their own bedroom; provide a little box of decorations, blue-tack, coloured string and let their creative juices to flow ~

-Carols by candle-light... &  the Christmas Spectacular at church, which is just that!!

-A Santa photo with whole family on his knee!
(They're free at our church)

-'Hot Chocolate and Warm fuzzies' Go to a cafe for Hot Chocolate or make one at home with all the trimmings. Go around the table and say what you love about each other  xox

-Dress up as Rock-stars and 'Rock around the Christmas Tree'

-Read the Christmas story from the bible: Luke 2 vs. 1-20. Put a children's bible open at the Christmas story by the tree.

-Fill up the biggest bubble bath EVER! Take photos of the kids with Santa beards.

-Use Christmas shaped cutters to bake cookies. Package and deliver them to the neighbours

-A birthday cake for Jesus!

-Set red jelly on top of green jelly for a wibbly-wobby jelly and dance!!

-Record a Christmassy greeting on your answer-phone

-'Made with love' homemade gifts for family and friends

-Eat happy face ice-creams and discuss how you can make Christmas brighter for those less fortunate than yourselves.

>>>And this year??? We're having a go at Croquembouche!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!! (Watch this space)

I love your Christmas ideas... some of them we've adopted as a family over the past 2 years.

You're such a fun chick Becs... I might steal a few more of these ideas! (Some of them we do already)... I like the "going around the table" one with the fancy hot chocolate drinks. Hmmm, I think that one will be a definite! xx
